About the concert
British pianist and producer Yoni Mayraz, one of the pioneers of new-generation hybrid jazz, performs at Scena MONK. After the success of his debut “Dybbuk Tse!”, on his latest album “Dogs Bark Babies Cry” Mayraz dives into even deeper, wilder sounds, combining ’90s hip-hop, Middle Eastern inspirations and electronic soundscapes in the spirit of ’70s jazz-funk.
As the artist himself says of the record, the live-recorded album is music full of tension, emotion and contrast – from fears to desires, from beauty to decay.
