If popularity were measured by modesty, Tomek Lipiński would be a figure of enormous stature in Poland. But then again, he is! Independent, always on the barricades of principle and good taste. His work has done so much good that it’s no surprise he has written two volumes of memoirs himself. To be sure of the facts and true to memory, he describes those times in remarkably vivid detail, with striking images of the neighbourhoods, houses, streets and even the nooks and crannies he made his way through with friends in his youth. Now there’s a chance to meet the author of both volumes – “Jeszcze będzie przepięknie” and “Jeszcze będzie normalnie” – in person, at SPATiF in Sopot and at Scena MONK in Gdańsk. At both events he will be joined by Jarek Szubrycht, author of many books, including one especially close to our hearts – “Skóra i ćwieki na wieki”. But that’s not all: each story will also come with a musical commentary performed – of course – by Tomek Lipiński himself.
