Mica’s journey is a story of determination, creativity and an unwavering passion for music. Running her own career through her independent label, Golden Hour Music, she has defied industry conventions and won international acclaim on her own terms. Her debut album, Heaven Knows, was written and produced entirely by herself.

After two years of writing, recording, producing and touring, however, Millar felt the need for a change of perspective and fresh inspiration. She left her studio in Manchester and set off alone to the south of France, seeking clarity in her “countryside era”. As she admits, cycling through vineyards, kayaking under old bridges and learning again to be present in her own body allowed her to reconnect with a part of herself that ambition had drowned out.

That experience gave birth to the album A Little Bit of Me. Written and produced by Millar herself, it was recorded at Miraval Studios – the legendary studio on Brad Pitt’s estate in the south of France. Surrounded by the silence, light and calm of the Provençal hills, Millar explores emotional duality – the tension between ambition and self-care, desire and truth, longing and reality.
