February at Scena MONK brings a warm breeze from Africa.
Special Guest: Kwame Yeboah
Jembaa Groove are one of the most exciting bands on today’s Afro-jazz and highlife scene. The multicultural collective blends Ghanaian jazz with soul and funk, creating a sound that is both recognisable and fresh – one that, after the albums “Susuma” (2022) and “Ye Ankasa / We Ourselves” (2024), has drawn listeners’ attention all over the world.
In 2026 the band is deepening its ties with the Afro-fusion scene – including the Lagos duo The Cavemen – and artists such as Fatoumata Diawara, Tim Lyre and Azekel, creating a modern take on highlife, jazz and Afrobeat. Their six-piece live line-up will be joined by outstanding Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist Kwame Yeboah (who has worked with Pat Thomas, Stevie Wonder, Cat Stevens and Craig David, among others).
