About the concert
Today – somewhere between 7:00 and 7:12 a.m. – the sun began to rise over the ocean coast of Japan’s Hokkaido island. A moment earlier, fishermen had launched their boats, cast their nets and silently watched the miracle of an ordinary morning.
That’s one of the images you might picture while listening to the meditative improvisations of Hinode Tapes: Piotr Chęcki’s unhurried saxophone, Jacek Prościński’s sparse drumming and Piotr Kaliński’s electronic loops take you on a mindful journey to the shores of Hokkaido, Kyushu, Sakhalin – or wherever else your imagination wants to take you.
Piotr Kaliński - guitar
Jacek Prościński - drums
Piotr Chęcki - saxophone
