About the event

‍

Get your leather, latex and studs out of the wardrobe – we invite you to a Bitter Halloween with Al Pacino.

When it first saw the light of day, it managed to offend absolutely everyone. Conservatives were outraged by its daring scenes set inside gay BDSM clubs, while queer communities couldn’t believe such a biased portrayal of their world.

William Friedkin’s Cruising is a fascinating, dark experiment: a bold attempt to transplant European giallo onto American soil, where stifling arthouse flows seamlessly into the realities of the serial-killer era. The result is a hair-raising story in which Steve Burns (Al Pacino) infiltrates not only gay bars, but also the darkest corners of his own identity.

This time, in addition to the film and discussion, you can take part in a Halloween Film Quiz hosted by Paweł Mozolewski of Kino Kameralne Cafe – a great chance to mingle and win prizes: film posters, tickets to Kino Spektrum and to concerts at Scena MONK. Costumes optional, but very welcome.

Price: PLN 60

The ticket includes a drink (alcoholic / non-alcoholic) and entry to the Halloween film quiz

Timetable:

18:30 – Cruising + introduction (Kino Spektrum)

20:30 – Discussion (Scena MONK)
