About the concert

In 2024, at the invitation of Sinfonietta Cracovia, Marek Pospieszalski took the cult soundtrack of the anime “Cowboy Bebop” and built a new musical universe around it. The encounter with this story, which brought together artists from different worlds and aesthetics, gave birth to EPTA.

The project brings together Maniucha Bikont, Malina Midera, Piotr Bukowski, Artur Majewski, Olo Walicki and Bartosz Szablowski – each with their own language, experience and sound. Out of this diversity came a coherent breed of sound, jazz in spirit but also immersed in improvisation, drone and minimalism.

The band decided not to stop at a single project. Marek wrote a set of pieces to lyrics by Ola Cieślak, and the whole took a less eclectic, more focused direction, while staying close to the original energy of “Bebop”.
