About the concert

‍

Alexander Flood is one of Australia’s leading masters of rhythm, with a finely honed arsenal of groove, power and virtuosity behind the kit. His unique sound and approach to the instrument have been shaped by years of study, practice and unwavering dedication to music. Leading his band from behind the drums, Flood pushes the boundaries of contemporary dance music, setting it in a rhythmic dialogue between nu-jazz, house, broken beat, drum’n’bass, funk and experimental sound.

In 2025 he released his fourth album, ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM – his most mature project yet: a record on which rhythm becomes both tool and story. Flood combines club intensity with jazz space, building an organic soundscape in which the groove pulses, permeates and constantly evolves.
